About Me

I am a student retention advocate dedicated to helping students achieve success in college. Being the first in your family to attend college can be both exciting and scary. Along the way, roadblocks may arise. Some may be unavoidable, but many can be prevented with the right knowledge, access, and skills.

After earning my MSW, I spent nearly 10 years as a school social worker supporting students whose academic success was impacted by life challenges. I later transitioned into a college setting, where I continued to see how academic, financial, and personal barriers can affect a student’s ability to remain in school. These experiences reinforced what I have always believed: that success is possible when students are equipped with the right resources and support.

My mission is to help first-generation students recognize that they already have what it takes to graduate; they just need the roadmap to get there. Every university has support systems in place, you just need to know how to use them. With the proper guidance, graduation is not just a dream, it is within reach.
