Mental Health Support in College

Leaving home for the first time can be an opportunity for self exploration and discovery. You are figuring out who you are, navigating a new environment, and adjusting to the expectations of college academics. It can feel like a lot at once. Feelings of anxiety or depression are common during this transition, but you do not have to go through it alone. Most campuses offer mental health support for students. If you have struggled with mental health concerns in the past, it is especially important to find out where the counseling office is located so you know where to turn if you need support.

It is normal to have questions and feel uncertain when starting college. This video reminds students that learning how to navigate college is part of the process and support is always available.
